September and the kids head back to school, the holidays are winding down and fall is one of the best times of the year for RV'ing.

Temperatures are cooling down from the oppressive summertime heat and the days are comfortable with cool nights for sleeping.

Fall colors make for scenic byways and if you are in the east some spectacular foliage awaits.

I know that a lot of RV'ers like to head out on the last long weekend of the summer and so I am sending this a few days early to make sure we all get the read before we go. Maybe you will want to take in the sites of Revelstoke or visit our featured RV park this long weekend.

One of our latest trips was to Revelstoke, BC and they have some interesting sites to see and good eats.

There is another trend in the RV industry and lifestyle and across North America with high rents and expensive housing costs, more and more people are using RV's as a cheaper alternative to live. What this means to the RV'er is less and less sites available for vacations and travel. As this trend continues it gets harder and harder to find vacancies in parks because the park owner can get a guaranteed income every month.

We would like to thank our new sponsors and supporters ......SEE WHO THEY ARE
We have tried to get supporters that will fit in with our RV lifestyle and we hope you find them helpful in your travels.

We want to wish all our RV friends a Happy Labour Day and may your travels be safe and happy. .

While in Revelstoke we visited the Railway Museum, Revelstoke Dam and Canyon Hot springs.

The Revelstoke Heritage Railway Society (RHRS) was formed in 1988, construction of the museum began in 1992 and it was opened to the public in 1993.  Our mission is to collect, preserve and interpret the history and significance of the Canadian Pacific Railway with our region.
Discover Canada's history and railway heritage in one of Canada's premiere railway museums! The museum presents the history of the Canadian Pacific Railway in the Columbia Mountains, as well as the role the railway and its workers have played in building Canada as a nation.

The Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre is open for the 2018 season from Saturday, May 19 to Monday, September 3, 2018. Visitors may notice that we're renovating but don't worry, we're open our regular hours and Tour Guides are ready to welcome you for guided or self-guided tours as always.
Our guests park directly in front of one of the most powerful dams in B.C. You'll have a chance to get up close to the second largest generating facility on the Columbia River. When the powerhouse started generating power in 1984, it produced 1,980 megawatts with four generating units. Since the addition of the fifth unit in 2010, the dam's output increased by 500 megawatts.
With guided or self-guided tours, guests can take in a breathtaking view of the dam and the Columbia River Valley from the dam crest at 175 metres above the river.

The mineral waters of Albert Canyon were allegedly discovered by CPR workmen at the turn of the century.
They built a timber enclosure at the site of the springs as this was used as a pool until the townsite was abandoned when the CPR removed the maintenance post.
Today, water from the spring is piped almost 2 miles down the valley side to feed our 15,000 gallon hot pool and our 60,000 gallon swimming pool. The Hot Mineral Soaking Pool temperature is 104°F (40°C) and the swimming pool is 86°F (32°C).Stop by, relax a little, and enjoy not only the pools and surrounding scenery but also our cafe and friendly trading post. Take a closer look at our Hot Springs Pools, Store and much more.

Tip Of The Month

A Solution for Foggy Windows

Which option best suits you?

1.Laminated glass replacement panels: Like your windshield, side windows fitted with laminated glass (lam-glass) are     virtually fog-proof. That's why we can confidently offer a lifetime warranty on every lam-glass panel we provide for your RV. We can ship custom cut lam-glass panels directly to you, to your favored local dealer/installer – or we can provide full replacement services at our Coburg, Oregon and Phoenix, Arizona locations. Did we mention that our custom fit, lam-glass panels come with a lifetime warranty?[1] And in most cases, we can complete your glass replacement in Coburg and Phoenix the same day of your visit.

2.OEM or aftermarket replacement windows: we can readily replace windows by most if not all manufacturers. While we have a very deep inventory, on occasion we may need to order a window to accommodate your needs. Lead times and warranty vary by window manufacturer so if this option sounds good to you, give us a call. We will size up the situation and tell you precisely what we can do and how quickly.

3.Replacement IGUs (insulated glass units): in many cases, repairing an existing window renders a faster, more durable and significantly less expensive solution than an OEM or aftermarket replacement window. We guarantee all IGU window repairs against future leaks and creepy seal for two years.

With decades of expertise and two fully-equipped warehouse/service locations in Phoenix, Arizona and Coburg, Oregon, RV Glass Solutions is your one-stop resource for replacement and repair of failing side windows.
